Naloxone is a medication that can save lives by reversing the effects of an opioid overdose. Some examples of opioids are heroin, fentanyl, methadone, Oxycontin and Vicodin.

This is a FREE AND ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENTIAL program offered to all CVIH patients, family, friends and community.

Naloxone Distribution Project: The Naloxone Distribution Project (NDP) is administered by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to combat opioid overdose-related deaths throughout California. The NDP aims to reduce opioid overdose deaths through the provision of free naloxone.

• People who use drugs
• Friends and family of people who use drugs
• Those who interact with people who use drugs including providers and emergency personnel
